Lunch & Learn: The New "Best Interest" Regulation for Life Insurance - What Advisors Need to Know

Sponsored By:

Do you advise clients on life insurance or serve as the trustee of life insurance policies? Do your clients turn to you to ask questions about life insurance?

If so, join us for a lunch and learn on TUESDAY 2/25 on the new 'Best Interest' regulation that took effect on February 1.

New York State has entered the “Fiduciary Era” with the implementation of Reg 187 for life insurance, and the CFP Board has announced their fiduciary standard for life insurance. Just as ERISA and Morningstar changed the landscape of the asset management business, the “fiduciary era” will change the landscape of the life insurance advisory and planning business.

Attendees will learn about the ethical considerations of NYS DFS Reg 187, FINRA Rule IM2210 and the UPIA and how they affect attorneys, CPAs and RIAs in the life insurance decision making process.

Speakers Erin Ardleigh and Steven Zeiger are independent insurance brokers with expertise in applying Prudent Investor guidelines to life insurance product selection/retention and portfolio management according to established and proven asset management doctrines. They will share new patented research to crack the impossible to understand 'black box' of life insurance and bring clarity to your clients' plans.
