"Asset Preservation for Seniors & Their Families"

Presented by elder law attorney Anthony J. Enea, past chair of the New York State Bar Association's Elder Law Section and managing partner at Enea, Scanlan & Sirignano, LLP, this one-hour course will provide attendees with an in-depth look at critical issues facing senior clients. Learn the criteria for Medicaid eligibility and most common components of asset protection planning (including important documents, the effective use of revocable and irrevocable trusts, etc.) as well as how these strategies can benefit your clients.

About Our Speaker

Anthony J. Enea, Esq., Managing Partner, Enea, Scanlan & Sirignano, LLP

Mr. Anthony J. Enea has spent the past three decades protecting the rights of New York’s senior and disabled populations. Named Westchester County’s Leading Elder Care Attorney at the 2013 Above the Bar Awards, Mr. Enea is a past chair of the New York State Bar Association’s Elder Law Section and president of the Westchester County Bar Foundation. His practice areas include Elder law; Medicaid Planning and Applications; Wills, Trusts and Estates; Guardianships and Estate Litigation.

Mr. Enea has chaired/lectured several hundred continuing legal education programs and speaks regularly at public and private organizations across the region. Currently a guest contributor for About.com’s Assisted Living Section, he is also the former Editor-in-Chief of the “Elder Law Attorney” of the New York State Bar Association’s Elder Law Section and has contributed extensively to publications for the Westchester County and the New York State Bar Associations.

Mr. Enea is a past president of the Westchester County Bar Association and the New York Chapter of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys. He is a member of the Council of Advanced Practitioners of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys and is on the Guardianship Advisory Committee of the Office of Court Administration for the State of New York.

Mr. Enea has been recognized with numerous peer-review designations including Westchester County’s Top 25 “Super Lawyers,” “Best Lawyer” (Best Lawyers in America, 2011-2014, and is an “AV” Rated Preeminent Attorney (Martindale-Hubbell, since 2002). He was named Best Lawyers’ 2015 Trusts & Estates “Lawyer of the Year” in White Plains. Mr. Enea is a member of both Somers’ Board of Ethics and the Business Development Board of the Hudson Valley Bank.
