Estate Planning Council of New York City Event Information

The Estate Planning Council of New York City holds a variety of events throughout the year for members and guests. Events include evening program and networking events, brown bag educational programs, members only receptions and parties, new member events, and an annual one-day conference called Estate Planners Day.

Pre-Payment is Required for All EPCNYC Events

Guest Policies

EPCNYC encourages members to invite prospective members and others in the estate planning field to their events. In accordance with the Council Bylaws, members are allowed to bring one guest to one event per program year (June 1 - May 31). Guests may only attend one event per program year. Guests' attendance fees will be paid for by the inviting member. Firm members are not allowed to invite or bring guests to Council events. Cancellation & Refund Policies

Cancellations made one week before an event will be refunded the registration fee minus a $25 cancellation fee. Cancellations made after this time will not be refunded. To cancel or make changes to your event registration, please contact Council Administrator, Amber Pusatere.

Tuition Assistance

EPCNYC members may apply for tuition assistance to attend our programs, based on financial hardship. Under that policy, any member of our Council who has a genuine financial hardship may apply in writing, no later than five (5) working days prior to the program, explaining the basis of his/her hardship, and, if approved, may receive tuition assistance, depending on circumstances.

Tuition Assistance for Estate Planners Day
Individuals may apply for tuition assistance to attend Estate Planners Day, based on financial hardship. An individual wishing to attend, who has a genuine financial hardship, may apply in writing, no later than five (5) working days prior to the program, explaining the basis of his/her hardship, and, if approved, may receive tuition assistance, depending on circumstances.

Continuing Education Attendance Policies

Depending on the program, EPCNYC may offer continuing education credits to attendees. Credits may be available for the following discipline areas: Legal - NY CLE; Accountancy - NY CPE; Insurance - NYS DFS; Financial Planning - CFP; Banking - American Bankers Association Institute of Certified Bankers - CTFA. Attendees must attend the entire program in order to receive continuing education credits. Early arrival is encouraged so that attendees are able to sign in and receive any program materials. Those individuals arriving late or departing early are required to use the sign in and out sheets, although credit will not be given.No partial credit will be given to attendees.
